Context
Overtime, IKEA is looking for creative solution to push the in-store shopping experience to the next level. As one of the members that stands out from IKEA’s startup bootcamp, Jido Inc introduced its signature object-detection technology to the furniture tycoon in 2020. This collaboration designed and developed a shopping companion tailored to IKEA’s lastest flagship store in Japan, Harajuku.
Using mobile AR, a shopper can easily recognize and learn over 3000 furnitures and their variations an IKEA store, by simply pointing their phone to the product that they are interested in.
